Greater Greer Education Foundation

The Greater Greer Education Foundation (GGEF) is a ​not for profit 501 C(3) with a focus on Education. 
Each year, the Foundation awards nearly $20,000 in grants and scholarships to students and educators pursuing academic advancement, whether through classroom learning or continuing education. 
Through its commitment to education, the Foundation provides critical funding for classroom learning, continuing education, and technical career development, ensuring that students and teachers have the resources they need to succeed.
The Greater Greer Education Foundation (GGEF) is pleased to provide a limited number of $1,000 scholarships to students pursuing careers in technical fields. These scholarships provide financial support for the first semester of enrollment at a South Carolina technical school, helping to strengthen the local workforce and empower young professionals.
To be eligible for a scholarship a student must:
  • Attend a high school in the greater Greer, SC area (Blue Ridge, Riverside, Greer, Byrnes, Bonds Career Center, Greer Middle College Charter High) or be homeschooled within the region.
  • Be a high school senior or graduating within the next 12 months.
  • Provide proof of acceptance and student ID number from an SC technical college.
  • Begin their higher education within 12 months of receiving the scholarship.
  • Plan to pursue a technical career in the greater Greer area after graduation.
