Leadership Greer Class Projects
Leadership Greer has a profound legacy of making in impact in the community. LG Classes each year will learn about non-profit organizations and our Greer community needs to determine resources that can be provided by the class. Sessions will allow students to overcome needs by developing a business proposal, establishing project budgets, and executing fundraising goals.
Testimonials
“Leadership Greer is a 9 month “fast track” to learning the ins and outs of Greer. Not only do you develop lifelong relationships, but you learn about the community you live in. This program was so beneficial for me since I had just moved to the Upstate. I would highly recommend this program to anyone looking to grow their roots and make a difference in Greer.” - Alison Rauch, Public Information Coordinator for Greer Commission of Public Works
"I can’t believe I was in the first Leadership Greer Class: We’re number 1! Participating in Leadership Greer was not only a peek behind the curtain of local government, but it also helped solidify my commitment to public service. Although it was several years before I ran for office, I often think of how influential my experience in Leadership Greer was in shaping my commitment to shaping my commitment to public service and the City of Greer.” - Mayor Rick Danner, City of Greer
"Leadership Greer helped launch my career by deepening my understanding of the community and connecting me with an incredible network of leaders. The relationships I built with my classmates have been invaluable, and I continued learning through the Leadership Development Council (LDC). Through LDC, I’ve fostered connections with past and recent Leadership classes. The program has shaped my professional journey and strengthened my commitment to serving our community." - Carolina Robertson, Greer Relief
"Leadership Greer gave me a deeper understanding of local government and private partnerships. Our Class 44 project, "Play in the Shade," made a lasting community impact, and being recognized at the statehouse was the icing on the cake. It’s truly worth the investment of time and energy." - Karuiam Booker, Greer City Council
